    Quiet Moments

    I like to go to a quiet place
    Out under a tree with leaves all around.;
    Maybe a little brook whispering by;
    A few small animals hardly making a sound;.

    And let God's peace surround me,
    To calm my hurried body and soul,
    Bringing me back into His presence,
    With the other sheep in His fold.

    He knows the groaning in my heart.
    And He gathers me under His wing.
    He blesses me and gives me comfort;
    Then with the birds, my heart will sing.

    Thank you, gracious, heavenly Father
    For these times to meditate and pray.
    Help me to "be still and know thow art God"
    And give me strength to face the day.
