Questions of Appreciation
Why do we go that extra mile when there's really no need?
In order for things to grow you must first plant the seed
Why do we go out to dinner when we have food at home?
To come home later on so we can unplug the phone
Speaking of the phone, what's the purpose of dialing?
I'd rather be face to face so I can see you smiling
How often should we hug? How often should we kiss?
Every chance we get, to show that person they've been missed
Why are things said that'll cause a break-up?
Shouldn't just make love and forget about the make-up?
Why do we buy flowers when they're only gonna die?
To say that I'm sorry and let's give it another try
Why do we take "the long way home" when something's on our mind?
So we don't bring the drama home and leave our worries behind
Let the person come to you and say what's on their heart
Because sometimes it's hard and really don't know where to start
Choose your words carefully or say nothing at all
Try listening for a change instead of dwelling on who's at fault
Should we press an issue and point fingers while assuming?
Rather than talk at me just try to talk to me
No skipping to the end while I'm stuck in the middle
why is it hard to figure out the answer when there's no riddle?
Let them come to you instead of being in their face
Give a little space with no worries of a twist of fate
Let the person vent and deal in their own way
and even though it's not true, tell'em “it's OK”
So why do we do these things without motive or cause for celebration?
To show someone we love them and show them our appreciation....
In order for things to grow you must first plant the seed
Why do we go out to dinner when we have food at home?
To come home later on so we can unplug the phone
