    Poetry Is

Poetry begins as a spring of water
Bursting forth from the depths of the heart and soul
And swells on the crest of the waves of one's sea
Crashing ashore in music of rhythmic words

poetry ,is like the beginning of time ,once you wake from a deep sleep. you wake from the universe of one own thoughts. you take thoughts and dreams and when you wake you place them on paper so they can last for ever in ones memory.

Thank you.I just started today to enter my poetry. Unfortunately there is another user name of teabagmama, and everytime I try to pull up my name of teabag, I get teabagmama. I am going to change my user name to gabaet, which is teabag spelled backward. I'll be looking for your poems! Many thanks again for your comment.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
