Phasing
I.
I’m right where you are.
Exactly
in the same
Space
occupying the same
spot as you-
Because-
as we merge
and melt I find
my thoughts
have traveled
to a place
deep inside you-
and I feel you
deep inside me-
And I know—
There is no separation
more painful.
II.
My love, where have you gone?
so far from me—and yet—
I thought you would
return.
There are no words,
now,
no lyrical expressions of
Sorrow and sorry for everything
I didn’t do, and never did,
but was it worth it
in the end?
III.
Lying and lying away
from you I fall
And Fall and
fall again, and where are you?
In all my memories
the ones I miss
the most
are you.
Oblivion
is lovely
and quiet
But numbness gets old
And cold
Feelings, you know,
don’t suit me.
IV.
I thought you made me burn, for a moment,
But it was just a speck of light
reflecting from
the flecks- of
Light-
in your irises.
V.
You were so lovely then.
And lovelier still, you have
become, so dear, and so
Lovely—
The corner of your
mouth twitches with a
Smile, that begs me to breathe
the soft sigh
from your lips.
