People always leave...
I remember when we used to sit by the creek
We promised that we would always have each other
But then you disappeared
Like the sun in the fog
The promises were forgotten
Leaving me, abandoned
In this place called Despair
Where all that I could think of was you
Lingering in my memory
The sound of your voice ringing in my ear
And I feel the pain all over again
I wonder why they leave
People always leave...
Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
