    Peace

    Cool shade grass softly sways
In response to the winds breezy caresses.
Pools of sunlight play on shinny leaves
As they pour down to illuminate earths
    Soft summer carpet.

    Trees sway a rhythmic dance
As birds rest upon their branches
While cooing and wooing any who
    would hear their heart song
as the rope from a swaying hammock
scratches out a tune upon the bark of its host.

In the distance people are playing,
    Water is splashing,
    Grills are sizzling,
    Leaves are rustling,
    Music is playing.

In the distance life is happening
And it is a good day.

    I close my eyes
    Determined to brand these
    Sounds forever in my mind
In order to return to this day
    Whenever needed.
