Only Love
The day it happened,
was a very dreary day.
You couldn't really tell
if he wanted to do it or not,
but He didn't try to get
away.
He was kind,gentle,
brave, and just like a
real Christian should
be.
I don't know why
someone like Him would do
something like that for
me.
They spit on Him,
beat him, taunted and cursed
at Him, but He only stood
bravely and never mumbled
a word.
They didn't believe that
He was the Christ, so
maybe they didn't believe
His word.
They crucified Him, nailed
His hands and feet to the
cross and even pierced
Him in His side.
He said He would arise
again on the third day, but
I guess they thought
He lied.
They stripped Him
of His robe and they
gambled upon
it.
The Lord Jesus
lokked up to the heavens
and asked His Father to forgive
them because they didn't know
what they were
doing.
After Jesus gave up
the ghost,
it began to get darker
than ever, and that's
when the people realized
what they'd done.
Just as promised, on
the third day an angel rolled
the stone away from where
my good Lord was placed.
Mary, His earthly mother,
saw it and wept until an angel
appeared, and told her there was
no need to fear.
When His journey on earth was
completed, He returned to His
home above.
I prayed and asked Him
one night why He did it, and
He gently replied, "It was
out of love my child,
only love."
