One of These Things is Not Like the Other

    the words ring haunting
    like glittering chimes
    massaging the tension
    that snakes have left behind

    the movements calculated
    with subtle exactness
    grumbling unsettling
    in the pit of sub-conscience

    it spews from the opening
    bedazzling the thirst
    with cunning intention
    of unfulfilled firsts

    the motions disguised
    building disorientation
    while raising red flags
    in air of misrepresentation

    one of these things
    is not like the other
    another falls victim
    to an untamed lover

    be defensive and weary
    of both that mismatch
    for words may be liars
    but actions are maps

I READ THE REST AND SAVED THIS ONE FOR LAST. A DIFFERENT SPIN IT WAS APART FROM THE OTHERS. I FELT DISTRUST IN MYSELF AS WHAT I SHOULD SAY. MANY EXPERIENCES COME TO MIND THAT I CARE ONLY TO REMEMBER FOR THE LESSONS LEARNED. THE FACT THAT I LEFT A COMMENT AFTER RE-READING IT HAS ME BAFFLED, BUT I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF. IT HAS ME LAUGHING IF YOU UNDERSTAND.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
