    Northern Star

Just a minute before you walk out that door
I will shed no more tears for you forevermore.
You wouldn't open up and share the secrets of your soul
But you stole my heart and you ripped it all apart.
    She's following that Northern Star
    Following wherever it might lead.
    She's following that Northern Star
    and she's leaving me.
I can't help but shed a tear a she walks away
I can still see the beauty in her eyes.
And I can still feel her warm and tender body next to mine
But I can't take no more pain and lies.

    Lonnie R. Brown

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
