natural beauty.
as i sit on this blanket, alone in in the center of this field the sun slowly awakens shining light on everything around. as the birds arise from their slumber, they sing songs giving a voice to nature. two crows talk back and forth as they circle overhead. a fox creeps by then dissapears into the overgrown weeds. the clouds dance so gracefully across the sky, light gleaming through as if it was spotlights from above. there are trees on either side, naked and bald from the passing seasons, the dampened sound of civilization just beyond them. i notice an old green barn rotting in the distance, somewhere in the background an owl is calling out as a cool refreshing breeze flows in. the engines of an airplane roar above hidden in the white and purple clouds. as a woodpecker begins to peck at a tree. i lay back, close my eyes and embrace natures beauty. slowly emersing in a sea of tranquility.
