    My Other Mother

I dreamt about my Other Mother last night and I know that my dream was real
She was wearing her favorite wool coat, cream suit & Lord oh Lord, she was wearing her favorite shoe – a slingback
I dreamt about my Other Mother last night and I know that my dream was real
Her conversation was so positive, so real & just like her normal self, forcing me to look at my life, but doing it with such tact
I dreamt about my Other Mother last night and I know she’s happy wherever she is
She was smiling, beaming, her face was glowing, her hair was flawless, a perfect picture of what beauty looks like when it’s your own & not his
I dreamt about my Other Mother last night and I finally can say thank you
Thank you for coming to see me, I felt honored, I felt loved, most of all, I felt My Other Mother
Thank you Allah (or as she would say, Thank Allah Much) for allowing me to meet up with my Other Mother last night
She didn’t ask me about the bad things, only highlighted the good. She didn’t ask me about everyone else, which lets me know that she watches over them constantly. It felt so good to see her, it felt so good. I cried this morning & if you’re listening – Other Mother – I Love YOU!!!
