My Haunting Heart
Why did you step on my beating heart as it lay there upon the floor
First you ripped it from my chest and as I was taking my last breath
You retreated to the place where there is no way back from eternal darkness
You will realize what you have done and though you have destroyed my heart, my soul remains
My death came at your hands and with a vengeance I will haunt your every breath
You cannot be rid of me; hear the beating of my heart with every step that you take
My spirit will forever walk in your dead footprints
Your only rest will be momentary as you seek the comfort of silent sleep
For when you dream my heartbeat will become your nightmares
As you wake there will be nowhere to run
Because over and over - the thump thump thumping of my heart will be beating louder in your brain
Until my pain subsides - as at last you grow wearily insane
.... What was it that caused the blood in your veins to grow so cold and heartless ...Can you now feel the hot blood that rages through my haunting heart!
