    My Disblities

    Protected
Overprotected by the people that surround me,
thinking they are helping me become a better me,
talk like someones that not me,
    but i wont.

Blinded by the hands that cover my eyes,
trying to hide what they think is appropriate,
to make me think everything is perfect,
they way they want it to be,
    but its not.

They cover my ears so i wont hear the noise,
    attempting to free my mind,
from all of what people say about me,
how they seem to criticize me in every possible way,
    but they cant.

They cover my mouth so i wont say whats on my mind,
being my temporary voice for years,
so i can see the light,
& understand that i just might say the wrong thing,
    but i dont care.

You see all my life i have been blind,
i have been deaf & i have been mute.
I should confess that i do regret,
the time i spent thinking everything was about me
& how sometimes i can be a little mean & not helping.

So im gonna ask you to take your hands off,
    my eyes,
    my ears,
    MY MOUTH !
SO I CAN FINALLY FIGURE OUT HOW LIFE IS WITHOUT THE PROTECTION,
    overprtection
from all my problems that i been hiding from for so long.

Very good and full of emotion and very real with life's problems and people's overprotection!

im in a 10 mood i see, but this one deserves it. the testament to be an individual. self actualization. i love it. the colors of disgust and disappoinment has made this a joy to read

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
