    My Blue Bliss (written 1996)

As I gaze up through my window,
my soul escapes into an icy blue bliss.
Up there I feel no pain nor cry any tears for the love I miss.
My soul yearns to be wrapped in the
big blue blanket of serenity called "sky".
Without this escape my soul would
    definitely wither and die.
My feet walk on heart-broken ground.
My teardrops fall and make an anguishing sound.
As my heart slows and ceases to pound,
The blue sky silently reaches down to me.
Beckoning me to set my soul completely free.
Now the sun tints the sky with an orageish glow,
I realize, my heart will heal this I know.
With a sigh, I wonder why love had to go?

"Orageish" would be better if it were 'orange glow'. The ending is interesting because it questions your feelings.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
