    My Angel

I dreamt of an angel, and he had your face.
His tender and powerful wings embrace
Gave me the freedom from pain and tears.
    The melancholy at once disappears.
He banished the hopelessness colored in grey
Not to cloud and dull my day.

I dreamt of the angel. During this night
He shared his purity and his might.
He washed away my sins of yesteryears,
And from my soul he peeled the old layers
    Of grief and everlasting sorrow
For brighter smile of blessed tomorrow.

And there it was the rainbow light…
Our trust revived on a new height.
Each sigh brought a hope to see you again.
My mind and heart played an intricate game.
I think they finally both agreed
You are the only one love for me.

I dreamt of the angel. A woolen shawl
My soul in its magical warmth enthralled.
And years of ice thawed fast in my heart.
My angel, it’s the mystery of your art.
With joyful hum from the apiary bee
Brought the honey of happiness quickly to me.

You’re the Sun of my life, the rays of my days.
I was like the planet rotating in blaze
Around the Sun. Its beauty was sprout
    From reciprocity seeds, no doubt.
I look at the sky completely anew.
I’m infinitely in love with you.

I dreamt of the angel, and he had your face.
He waived his wings with simple grace,
Erased the seas from the map of my life
My tears salted them night after night.
Though only in dreams you are close to me
I love you, my angel, for all eternity.

I HAD THIS POEM SAVED FOR AWHILE. I'M GLAD I FINALLY READ IT. VERY PEACEFUL WITH A LIGHT OF IT'S OWN. IF ALL WOULD ONLY HEAR THEIR ANGEL WHEN HE SPEAKS, THE COMFORT THEY WOULD FIND.

This is a good poem, I wish someone thought i was their angel. Very well written. I like it...Don Folks

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
