Mr. Stephen King
As he thinks of another story
it begins to appear on a sheet of paper
What are in his thoughts at this time
could it be the works of a cool, horror caper
The mind is such a wonderful resource
with imaginations beyond the realm
How far into his subconscious will he go
while he pilots his ship from the helm
His works are much more than art
which keeps you in suspense, page after page
what strange new worlds can he take us to
will it bring us to a deep, dark age
Through our eyes, he is merely a man
nor any different than you or me
Where did he inherit this intelligence
from the dreams he has conceived?
I once thought I could write like he does
by his works no one can compare
all's I come up with is poetic scribblings
which is not enough to take me there
Maybe oneday, I will meet this strange soul
another chapter I could also bring
How do you create these fascinating novels
Won't you please tell me, Mr. Stephen King?
it begins to appear on a sheet of paper
What are in his thoughts at this time
could it be the works of a cool, horror caper
The mind is such a wonderful resource
with imaginations beyond the realm
How far into his subconscious will he go
while he pilots his ship from the helm
His works are much more than art
which keeps you in suspense, page after page
what strange new worlds can he take us to
will it bring us to a deep, dark age
Through our eyes, he is merely a man
nor any different than you or me
Where did he inherit this intelligence
from the dreams he has conceived?
I once thought I could write like he does
by his works no one can compare
all's I come up with is poetic scribblings
which is not enough to take me there
Maybe oneday, I will meet this strange soul
another chapter I could also bring
How do you create these fascinating novels
Won't you please tell me, Mr. Stephen King?
