    momma

I wish you were here with me. I feel so alone like every one is against me. So I feel all
Alone in my own world that is so far away from you I can only look at pictures, people
Tell me their memories of you. I remember mine, well at least the ones I have. I have  been
Told a thousand times that I look like you and I’m still being told that. I just smile and
Kind of laugh. I think it’s funny when they say it in front of Dad. He gets this look on his
Face like he is mad. Then times he just like looks at me and kind of agrees with them. He
Doesn’t like the way I fix my hair. Dad does not really like me wearing my glasses. I
Guess its because I look more like you when I have them on then when I don’t have
    Them on.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
