    “Miracles”

    What is a miracle? Is it an extraordinary event, manifesting divine intervention in human affairs? Is it a supernatural encounter, marvelous accomplishments, that somehow let’s us know that something greater is there? Can a miracle be taught, if so can it be learned? Is it sold, can it be bought, can a miracle be earned?

    Opinions are very different throughout vast perceptions, this is an expression of miracles through my conception;
    Imagine a single mother, two jobs with five kids, and she still makes it home in time just to cook and clean for them. Or a husband who is convicted and sentenced to life in prison, and his wife, family, and friends still come to visit. Children saying no to drugs, now that’s a miracle by far, like an active alcoholic refusing to drive their car. I’m a walking miracle, my Mother said I was forsaken, because when I was born the doctor said I wouldn’t make it.
    Or 24hrs. Of being clean and serene, just ask the addict, sweating hard while detoxing.
    For every child that is born another miracle has come, just ask the parents who just buried their still-born son. Consider the moment before a premeditated crime, and the miracle when that crime is left inside the mind. When you can’t pay the bills, and the owner gives you an extension, just ask the family thrown on the streets from an eviction.
    Just a clean pair of shoes, no holes in the soles, just ask those five poor children who can’t afford some more. Or an intended bullet biting it’s victim hard as Tyson bit Evander, just ask the father whose daughter was an innocent by-stander.

    I’m sure it’s hard to understand the logics in my words, but where I’m from, miracles are seldom seen and rarely heard. Instead of spending the rest of your effort and time trying to see one, realize the miracles inside and try to be one. As I’ve said before, they vary through each perception, and to me, Miracles are nothing more than the Lord’s Blessings-

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
