METAPHOR OF LOVE (c) Copyright 2003

    As captivating as the sunset
    Illuminating as the sunrise
    Deep as the oceans
I see the love within your eyes

As warm as the rays of the sun

    Cool as an autumn breeze
    Gentle as the wind
You put my mind at ease

As grand as the tallest mountain

    High as the glistening skies
Free as an eagle above the storm
    You make my spirit fly

As vast as the desert sands

    Rich as nature's hues
    Eternal as the tide
So is my love for you...

    Thanks for reading, dah!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
