Memories
Why must the dead lurk here on this night of nights
Black shadows with spiders crawling up their sleeves
Daughters and sons of the deceptive moonlight
Swirling about like forgotten October leaves
Black shadows with spiders crawling up their sleeves
How they bask in the fog behind the dawn
Miniature labyrinths in the spider's clever weave
Careful layers of silk so tightly drawn
How they bask in the fog behind the dawn!
Blazing through the dew on ebony horses
Moving much too quick through the gentle mourn
Relentless hooves, never moving off course
Blazing through the dew on ebony horses
A dead ocean with delerious gales
And ghastly pirates that never move off course
Even as the waves moan and the wind wails
Eight eyes peering through small holes in soft silk
Spider webs have no beginning and no end
Black shadows with spiders crawling up their sleeves
Daughters and sons of the deceptive moonlight
Swirling about like forgotten October leaves
Black shadows with spiders crawling up their sleeves
How they bask in the fog behind the dawn
Miniature labyrinths in the spider's clever weave
Careful layers of silk so tightly drawn
How they bask in the fog behind the dawn!
Blazing through the dew on ebony horses
Moving much too quick through the gentle mourn
Relentless hooves, never moving off course
Blazing through the dew on ebony horses
A dead ocean with delerious gales
And ghastly pirates that never move off course
Even as the waves moan and the wind wails
Eight eyes peering through small holes in soft silk
Spider webs have no beginning and no end
