You’re the Spirit of the Triune God. You are before time was time.

You’re the Love of the Father and Son carried to this heart of mine.

You hovered over those first waters – the Light of God’s creation --

You’re the breath in Adam’s bones that birthed mankind and nations.

You’re the Shadow upon the Virgin that quicken’d the Son of Deity,

You’re the ever present Tutor counseling the servant I wish to be.

You’re the intermediary to a lost world of Christ’ love and passion --

It’s You who unleashed for one and all the power of His resurrection.

Your Holy fire inflames my heart – anointing it with evangel power --

‘Burn O’ heart of mine for men’s souls in this Great Commission Hour!’ --

Take me soon to the martyred Saints to sing sweet melodies

Of lofty Lyrics exalting the splendor and majesty of the glorious Trinity.

 
‘Come wedding day, come!’  – my Bridesmeet of Honor You’ll be,

Clothe me in shining linen for the Marriage of the Lamb now come. 

You’re the Wooing One that takes me to the bosom of the Son --

 The Lion, Lamb, Priest and King – forever to enjoy Christ’s love for me.
