Banana Split or Milkshake (A Life Choice)
(A Sonnet)
Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry crème,
Dripping in lusty enticing flavors,
With nuts, whipped cream, and cherry’s supreme,
Where split fruit caters to ‘r base desires.
Simple, but smooth is the lovely milkshake --
Sweet blends of tastes yield one to another,
Like from many graces – one Fruit they make,
Our straws draw in His oneness forever.
Does love, joy, peace vie for our savors?
Do we split goodness and kindness apart?
God forbid! – That grace comes in nine flavors,
Not an emulsion – but one blended heart.
Give Him ‘r way! – The synergy of One,
Receive His Fruit – the great gift of the Son!
