Poem Commentary

a rendition of the song love like woe, by the readyset

love like woe

Look, I'm just asking you to say you're mine..
And even if this doesn't completely make sense to you, I just have to see your face shine.
I'm superstitious, I worry, But no matter what, I couldn't say no
You've got me on a mission.. And you've got a love like woe..
i think youre a pretty sweet pill, that I'm swallowing down,
to counter this addiction..
You bring me in, then you kick me when I'm down again..
Please? We have this one life, this one light..
just please say youre mine...
You and your love like woe..

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
