Poem Commentary

I know its terrible and sad.. its an old poem..

Crimson Snow 4-12-2010

You say you love her all the time
then you sit there like a mime
Never speaking a single word
Never a sound to be heard
The silence drab and dreary so
Fills my lonely body with woe
The girl that you used to know
has decided she wants to die in the snow
You ignore her, leave her, deny she exists
So she runs crying to enflict pain on her rist
You love her you do you now know
Only your love she cannot feel
She sits in the snow
cutting her wrists, wishing the pain to heal
You run, run, run looking for the one.
The one you call your rising sun.
You finally find her as you drop down low.
You see your love lying in a pool of blood
in the now crimson snow
Your eyes well up with tears
You finally realize all your fears
You grab your love up in your arms
wishing to protect her from harm
YOu run like wind to the hospital
Hoping that your love will live through it all
You sit beside her hoping she'll survive
You let your mind take a dive
You leave for only a split second to be aline and cry
And return back just in time to see your true love die..

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
