    LOVE DENIED

    I LAY AWAKE AT NIGHT
    LONGING TO HOLD YOU
    HOLD YOU IN MY ARMS
    LONGING FOR THE DAY
    WHEN OUR LIPS FINALLY
    TASTE THE SWEETNESS
THAT WE HAVE BEEN DENIED .
    TO FEEL YOUR TOUCH
    AS YOU CARESS EVERY INCH
    OF MY BODY.
    TO FEEL YOUR HANDS
    AS THEY TRAVEL TO PARTS
    WHERE MY PASSION HAS
    LAY DORMANT FOR MANY YEARS
    WAITING FOR YOU TO COME
LONGING TO SEE YOU, TOUCH YOU
    TASTE YOU.
LONGING TO LOOK YOU IN THE EYES .
    I CALL OUT YOUR NAME
    DO YOU HEAR ME ?
I BEG THEE TO COME TO ME
TO TAKE ME AWAY WITH YOU.
    SO MANY LIVES LOST
    LOST BECAUSE OF WHAT?
    LOST BECAUSE OF A GAME
YE SEEK IN TOO MANY FACES .
WHAT YE KNOWS TO BE .
THE EYES I SAY TO THEE.
    THE WINDOWS OF THE SOUL
. I CRY IN ANGUISH MY LOVE
WHY DO YE NOT ANSWER ?
SOON , SOON. THIS IS ALL I HEAR
SOON I SHALL BE NEAR, DO NOT FEAR.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
