    Lost

    Hope, happiness and prosperity.
    Pain, sorrow, and unforgiveness.
    Committment, one flesh, and honesty
    Direspect, patience and deciet
Whenever things are at there worst, the pain makes it unbearable to speak.

    Maturity, self-pity and excuses.
    Confusion, disloyalty and anger.
One life, one time, one day.
How can you treat me this way?

Kiss me, Hold me, Touch me
    Love me, then hate me.
Loud voices, loud tones, vulgar language.
Is this the way you speak to me?
    And then there is jealousy....
    Physical confrontation, pain and emptiness
Love---- Is this the road to our hapiness?

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
