    Looking Glass

As I was looking through the looking glass.
    Your reflection I could see.
    In another time.
    How could it possibly be.
    You were standing there.
    Looking back at me.
    Stepping through the looking glass.
    As you guided me.
    To a place of peacefulness.
    A place to be defined.
    A place to be free.

In a poem, it is always what you do with your metaphor that counts. too bad , too late you recognize a friendship to benifit you now. Of couse, you could fb, text, or pick up the phone . . . Harv

The last three lines are interesting..The vision and distraction of the vision? The world with or within. Lovely.

This hints at a parallell dimension. Alternative universe. I like that, to step outside of immediate reality. Nice

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
