    Poem Commentary

    This was written at a time in my life when I was extremely depressed.

    Lonliness

    When lonliness and pain come sneaking around
    Sending Chills up and down your spine.
    Your whole world crashes to the ground
    And you feel like you're losing your mind.
    You've pushed everyone you love off to the side
    And let lonliness eat at your soul.
    While you hid in your room and desperately cried
    Because the darkness had taken it's toll.
    Afraid to go out in the light of day,
    Scared to fall asleep at night.
    So you sit by your window and silently pray
    To the Lord, for the strength to fight.
