    Locked In

Tears fall down from my face
Losing my mind in this place
Other people seem to come first
It only makes my problems worse
    Nightmares, shakes, and fears
Why must I always cry these tears
    People watch and they see
I'm losing control, I'm losing me
Trying to find the comfort I need
Wanting to forget that awful deed
    Locked outside, looking in
Can't deal with now, if still back then.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
