    Living Room

I’m so scared of what others may say
So I sit in my living room and right this way
    I find peace and solace
Right there in my living room
It’s like I open up to the my world
    And I see the flowers
    Bloom
    Cause
    If I
    Share in my living
    Room
I can say what I need to say
    I am so scared
That I may say what you think.
    And then I am labeled
    In a certain
    Way
    So I share with myself
    In my living room
Cause there is no one to judge me
    Hold grudges against me
    Think something in their minds
    About me
I see the look in your eyes
I think I perceive it in a certain way
    That’s why I share what I have
    To say
    In my living room
    Cause my walls
    Don’t speak
    My actions, have no key
    My thoughts
    Run freely
    The emotions
    Can turn on me
    I realize

    That
    What I may have to
    Say
    May
    Be
    Your answer
    I just try
But it just comes out that way
    So is it
    The emotions that you hear
    And the words
    That are unheard
    Am I really speaking loudly
In my meaning are there really words?

Insightful, and introspective at the same time.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
