Little Boys
Snips ans snails and puppy dog tails ,
That's what little boys are made of.
Little boys with trucks and cars, and toy trains,
hugs and kisses and praises.....
Little hand prints on windows hard to keep clean.
Momma's little boy.
Bikes and skateboards, four wheelers and atv's
cuts, and scrapes, and scars and bruises.
Don't want no help from mom. They can do it on their own.
There's something about having a little boy.
As a mom you protect them and keep them from harm.
As they get bigger they no longer want or need
hugs and kisses, or those daily reminders.
Pick up your shoes, put your clothes away,
and pick up those cars.
Gym socks and sweat pants how do they get so dirty?
8 years old is a good age...an age of discovery
paper planes and kites
will blast off to new heights.
Maps and globes give birth to discovering the world
Planets and the universe give life to what's not known
Hopes and dreams of what the little boy may become.
Unknown to those adorable little smiles,
and the twinkle in his eyes.

Pick up your shoes, put your clothes away,
and pick up those cars.
Gym socks and sweat pants how do they get so dirty?

Hopes and dreams of what the little boy may become.
Unknown to those adorable little smiles,
and the twinkle in his eyes.
