    Disapointing Love

Love is supposed to pure, never ending, never dividing, never jealous.
How can something so precious, turn into so much denial, and hatred.
Two years ago our love was like a spring rose in bloom. Blossoming each day like the petals on a rose.
Until one day you discover the rose has wilted and lived its life and fallen from the branch...Our relationship has been the same way. It started out great, but somewhere along the way I let you take control. I lost all power over you and my kids.
They did not respect me or care. You have gotten worse for the wear.
Now all you do is argue and swear..You are much younger than I, but do not care. Yelling and screaming is not the way...My children are staying it's not for you to say. They were here first and will always be. There are plenty more you's awaiting in the sea.
Finding that fairytale love is so hard to find, sometimes I think It's all in our minds. Waiting and hoping for that day to come. Prince Charming is he real or a fiction in our minds?
That love story we all know so clear, the one in the movies we hold so dear. To find a man who willing and kind. To love ourselves and our children divine. A man whose not controlling or fearful. The one who protects us and helps us, and doesn't bring us down...Who likes us and excepts us for who we are the proud women we have become.
A single mom with children not wanting to be alone. But who would rather be alone and happy , than miserable and together....
Only God knows what lies in store for us....alone or in love it's never the same......

I can truly relate to your writings. I suggest, find the love in you for you, be a little selfish about you and don't believe the hype or let them see you sweat. Yes, we are strong simply because we are women. You will make it and if you think about it you'll make it with the same love you started out with. The love of your family and friends. I wish you the best.

Love is so fragile, and perfection is so unrealistic, It takes a special man to raise another mans child. But the children always come first. You did the right thing, sent his ass packing. I liked the message in your poem. smiles

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
