    Lies

He gives false hope to get his way,

He answers you yes when the truth is nay.

He lies more often than telling the truth,

He seems not to care, he acts so aloof.

He’ll say one thing, and act another,

He’ll stab anyone in the back, even a brother.

He looks to his own interests, running over yours,

He flashes his smile, as in your face he slams the doors.

He laughs at your pain, while seeking his gain,

He runs over your emotions, like a fast freight train.

Until one day; the truth will dawn,

You’ll see him for what he is, and your weakness will be gone.

New strength and peace you’ll be able to claim,

Your reaction to him will never be the same.

Now hold your head high, allow your smile to grow,

He can’t tear you down anymore, so let the true you show

This is an interesting definition of a heel put to rhyme...but, alas, I'm not this evil one you paint. A good poem, I must admit.

Beautiful. Well written. So true so honest. An expression of the reality of the life so many live and experience.
