Lead Me Nowhere...

A trail fading into the distance,
Inviting, alluring my soul,
With you by my side, my steps;
Follow a course of their own,
Rambling along unknown paths,
I find joy, indistinctive peace,
Your hand guiding me along,
On a sojourn, I wish would never cease!
Azure sky peeking between,
The canopies of vibrant green cedars,
I feel my spirit waking,
From its eternal reverie,
Puffs of dust rise in the wake,
Of us treading a novel path,
Wind brushing away our footsteps,
Imprisoning two willing captives,
Mesmerized; by the unadorned splendour,
Pursuing their soulful quests,
Fingers intertwined with yours,
Unperturbed, unafraid,
I let you guide me through,
Ensnaring my gaze, my mind, my heart,
These hypnotic eyes of yours!
Unconcerned about a destination,
I amble along with you, without a care,
Hoping, Wishing it never ends,
Just hold my hand and lead me,

To nowhere......!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
