    Last Time

The room grew dim and haunting
as in your bed you laid,
Your hand in mine, warm and soft
and frail, in it's own way,
Our eyes locked with each others
    sharing your life with mine,
for all those years we've been together
seem just a puff of time.
You're such a part of my soul,
    with many memories untold.
You reach up and brush the tear from my cheek,
this is so hard to let you go.
You smile your smile of assurenace
that has always soothed my soul
as I see the blueness of your eyes
light up with such a glow,
I whisperd I'll love you forever
as I watched you fade and go

    beautiful poem well written

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
