    Last Tear

    LAST TEAR

I still see you asleep in the bed.
Not knowing you’re soon to walk with the dead.
Your promises were never worth that much.
I can’t rid my mind of your cold nasty touch.
You’ve used me for your anger for the very last time.
Now I stand over you with vengeance being mine.
I never knew I could be this bold.
But If I stop it here, I’m sure to break mold.
I brought down the knife as I released myself of fear.
For you my dear I’ve shed my very last tear.
Now they’ll be here soon to take me away,
I’ll go to my cell knowing.
I stopped you from hurting me on this cold winters day.
If there is anyone out there to listen to my tale,
You can release yourself of your own private hell.
Don’t let them hurt you, you must get away.
Before, you lose your last tear in the same violent way.

An intense subject that you express with emotion, illustrating pending death.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
