Downtown
Downtown
See the homeless woman showering in the fountain.
Maybe she thinks its springs from a mountain.
Look at that drunk passed out on the ground.
Here come the cops making their rounds.
See the deaf man there on the phone.
Who is he talking to? Is there anybody home?
Preacher man walking and handing out papers.
What’s his story, what’s his caper?
There is a brother man with all is gold.
Women grab their purses, children that snatch a hold.
Just check out the scenery if you just look around.
That’s the story with being downtown.
