Lamia
Through the years you were the niece of the mighty god of the sea,
you ran away from the life of the sea to fall in love.
Not knowing the consequences you fell in love with a god named Zeus,
your love for him brought eight children to live and grow.
Hera came across the affair of the two of you,
out of rage she forced you to devour your children,
Zeus burned your eyes so you would not watch this monstrosity.
Torn by what you did, you no longer live among the living.
Now Lamia, burn away in the realm of fire,
for when a child is bad you will rise again to devour the child.
you ran away from the life of the sea to fall in love.
