    Knight's View

A black sun rose unto the day
and pulled back a shadow where quiet men lay
    await the silence of decay

So the slain to be found
that have been given unto the ground
lay in the absense of sound

A bladed base to be swung
that stead the fault of a peacefull tongue
    and so a battle sung

    Courage spawned upon wits end
where life had scarred a primal mend
    no will would bend

So to the glory of a perfect reign
that has cleansed evil and summoned pain
    so to its life sustained

And sowed its seed unto the frost
its seed sowed deep but to what cost
a kingdom won a people lost.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
