JESUS CHRIST : THE REAL MAN

Jesus was a Gnostic atheist who preached the simple truth
All us bastards only joke our dad was God's spilt juice
Jesus didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to take him seriously
But fundamental retards somehow found a twist deliriously

It's time for us to see Christ's point and get the virgin-birth jape
His mother, Mary wasn't really a victim of bestial rape
A messiah came when the peace-lover joined up all the free men
Not when an omnipotent blame-victim gushed His able semen

The point is that we're all God or the devil
Depending on which half of us is self-responsible
There's no devil below or God above
Just a choice here and now between fear and love

Fear may build bombs of what powers the sun
But the eyes of love see all of us as one!
Stop wanting weapons of mass destruction
Choose love and affection, feeling suction!

I must say this one evokes argument and stirs emotions. Maybe that was your intention. It is deep, filled with messages that some do not want to hear or even think exist. The last of the message seems contradictory to the first of the message.

Atheist truth and affectionate suction aren't contradictory. They both come from honest love!

You've got no problem stating the case as you see it, Jon, and there ain't nothin' wrong with that. But you might wanna try slipping a message under the door rather than throwing a rock through the window. But I'll grant you, that in the final analysis, you. as the artist, must be the final arbiter of how your declaration is delivered. I'll give you good marks for gonads, though.

The time for tact and subtlety is over, Chaos. We must all accept the rocky truth. By the way, thanks for giving me good marks for my balls!

yea-- the first half is very crude and rude my friend-- if you are trying to preach truth and love--you completely annihilate that message in the first half of your poem- i think you should sit back, relax, and think about the dilemma in this poem-and obviously... in your soul/mind

Honesty does not annihilate truth and love, it makes them real. Modern language is crude and rude compared to ancient texts, but the evolution of our language isn't a problem for my soul/mind!

Thanks for seeing and appreciating my honesty. Unfortunately, many people are offended by it.

JESUS IS NOT AN ATHEIST, AND I'M NOT A BASTARD, REGARDLESS OF YOUR PLAY ON WORDS.

Jesus said there is no God other than our own love. That makes him atheist and his parents weren't married, just to clarify stuff.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
