100 Degrees In The Shade

.100 Degrees In The Shade

It’s 100 Degrees in the shade here

And all passion’s aflame and untamed here

And which man can command that these feelings unmanned

Must be pushed to the side unnamed here.

All hell has broke loose in one glance here

And the smiles and the words did their dance here

And we both felt the thrill, and we both danced the drill

As we tried not to face what awoke here.

But try as we might, we’re alight here

And this fire is burning oh so bright here

Hiding it is a fight, it’s plain to the sight

That feelings are wild and abide here

So what do we do with this passion

But dance like a tango in session

And know that we’ve found a hot heated round

Of lust and heated compassion.

For these flames are wild and burn deep inside

But we know that we can’t fan this fire

And so we must dance and continue to prance

Until we outlive this desire.

I know that you want me and I want you too love

But look at the hurt and quagmire

That we would impart on those in our heart

If we should give in to desire.

And so I must hold you at arms length

And you likewise think not what you’ve felt

We will grow past this, and learn to dismiss

This passion, this flame, this God-send.
