    Jessy's Christmas

Up today with the morning light, snow on the ground what a beautiful sight. This is the day I’ve been waiting for, counting the days till my fingers are sore. I get up and see the beautiful tree and all the gifts I had hoped there would be. I’ve waited so long to see all of this, with my loving family and all of the gifts. I can feel the love from my family today, and all through the year I know it will stay. I know the best things in life are free but, I also like what’s under the tree. Look in your heart and you will see what Christmas was always meant to be.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
