Isolation
Sometimes, the feeeling of being alone and isolated is so over-powering that your brain shuts down. It is so impossible to think past that sense of isolation that you start to panice, your heart beats in time wiht your thoughts as they fly inside your mind like a hummingbird flits from flower to flower to survive. You feel the pressure of civilization around you, but you are unable to reach out and touvh it, so stunned you are. Physically, there is nothing stopping you, you are not inside a steel bubble, but you might as well be, so isolated you feel. A scream rises in your throat, stemming from the darkest part of your soul and the very depths of your mind. It rises through your chest, building pressure, it bubbles to just behind your lips. SO desperate you feel to release that manifestation of your panic, but you know no one will hear it, because no one is listening. They are too lost in their own mind, too preoccupied with their own personal states of panic. They are too wrapped up in their own personal tragedies. You look at everyone around you with eyes glazed in fog, nothing is coming through clear. How can it? You are too afraid of being lost in yourself. You are too afraid of being completley cut off from everyone and everything that has ever hurt you. Why are you afraid of this? Because, pain is all you have ever known and without it, you have no idea as to how to survive your day.
