Invitation Unknown
Reality, Passion, Fullfillment, and Lust,
versus
Anger, Betrayal, Denial, and Trust.
Relentless confusion cannot recede.
Defiance and doubt take emotional lead.
Jealousy, Rage, Impatience, and Fear,
a brand new beginning, or ending? Unclear.
Unable to feel, the heart imprisons itself.
Shall I move away quickly,
or remain on this shelf?
Longing for answers,
but yet still scared and leery,
Will this heart brick up, grow tired and weary?
Days and nights pass by with a rhythmatic haste.
Each touch that we share screams,
"This can't be a waste!"
Patience is a virtue that is so hard to find.
Everyday questions play tricks on the mind.
"Is this happening?" "Is this possible?", "Is this morally right?"
Repeatedly pondering these questions--no answers in sight.
Your touch has evolved to addiction,
at which I don't want to end,
yet afraid of continuance, as my soul might bend.
Bitter and Sour is what I've become,
praying whole-heartedly for my heart to stay numb.
A vicious cycle of Love, Hate, Unknown, yet Exciting--
It wasn't my plan to find you so inviting.
versus
Anger, Betrayal, Denial, and Trust.
Relentless confusion cannot recede.
