    invisible

i put on a brave face
    i walk up to you
    i look into your eyes
but still me you don't see
    i smile at you
hide the fact that I'm blue
    you face away
and go back where you lay
i want to scream at you
"look at me, I'm right here"
    but i don't coz i know
    no difference will it make
    it's me you forsake
    but it's a big mistake
    for one day
    you'll appreciate
    but by then
    it'll be too late.

I like damage goods and expressions of love but so far this is my favorite. I will read some more of your work later.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
