Invisible Angel

Just because you all ignore her and talk behind her back,
Doesn’t mean she doesn’t hear you,
It means she contently remembers the love she feels she lacks.

Only a young little girl when her parents died,
And what’s the point of living when all you do is cry?
So she pulled out the gun and pointed at her head,
Nothing she thought could hurt her after she was dead.

What an innocent angel,
With a tear-streaked face,
What would have happened if you cared to see her?
Can you say this death would still be the case?

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
