Intentions
“How come every time you get paid you don’t think about me?
I do all for you and yours and you forget about me?
How come my all is what you take from me?
I wait and wait until “You” decides to give to me?
How come you take your time coming to speak with me?
“My kindness for weakness,” is that all you think of me?
Where does the heart lie?
Saying “this” and meaning “that”
Am I supposed to sit back?
Look the other way?
And relax?
Time and time again, I let you kick me.
I lie in the dirt and let you spit on me.
God said to become slow to anger.
Lord knows, I try to leave it on a hanger,
Put it in the back of the closet
And just let it linger.
But, you chose to go and get it out!
When your intentions didn’t match the words out of your mouth.
Not once, not twice, but multiple of times I’ve worked with you.
I have compassion for you.
I have sacrificed for you.
But did you sit and take notice of you?
You know what, I thank God for you!
Because I know, He watches you.
He will guide you.
And He will never forsake you.
Intentions. What are YOUR intentions?”
