    IN LIFE

    Day in day out,

    Struggling the same struggle,

    Hustling the same hustle,

    The sun mercilessly scorching,

    The hunger ravenously biting,

    Some fall on the way,

    Some from the path sway,

    We weep and mourn,

But the journey we mustn’t adjourn

    With an end in sight,

    With peace at heart,

    We hold on tight,

    With all our might,

    The struggles must continue,

    Each day a-new,

    The hurdles we must endure,

So as our fruits to enjoy,

    To support others we must,

    A few we must trust,

If to make it we must,

    All in earnest.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
