if ever

if ever i was wrong that would be today
i never meant for thing to end up this way
i say I've changed but cant seem to show it
but if it was rite away it just wouldn't fit
i change the inside the best i can
still I'm nothing more then a mere man
i can say these things till I'm blue in the face
it wont change what i never should have in the first place
so devour my soul and bring forth a new me
and I'll show you the things you never did see
this life is full of frustration
allow me to be your restoration
