Pride

SEE PEOPLE ALWAYS TALK ABOUT ME,
THE WAY I ACT,
AND THE THINGS THAT I LACK.
GIVING ME ALL KIND OF BULLSHIT LIKE THAT.
THEY GIVE ME NO RESPECT, BUT EXPECT THAT I DO JUST THAT.
PEOPLE WANT TO JUDGE ME AND DISRESPECT ME.
BUT NEVER REALLY FULLY UNDERSTAND ME.
THEY DONT CARE TO SEE WHO I WANT TO BE BUT WHO THEY WANT ME TO BE.
DEEP INSIDE IS WHERE I AM.
THAT PERSON IS INSIDE OF ME WANTING TO BE FREE BUT AFRAID OF HOW THE PEOPLE MAY SEE ME.
WHEN THE PERSON COMES OUT OF ME THAT WANTS TO BE FREE, THEN THE PEOPLE WILL REALLY SEE ME.
THROW ME IN THE COURT ROOM IN FRONT THE JURY AND JUDGE ME.
THEY ARE GOING TO SAY IT AINT RIGHT, LIFE AINT SUPPOSED TO GO THAT WAY, BUT TRUTH BE TOLD I'VE BEEN THAT WAY, AND I'LL BE THIS WAY UNTIL I TAKE MY LAST BREATH AND THEY PUT ME IN MY GRAVE.
WHY DO I HAVE TO HIDE WHO IM DEEP INSIDE.
SHOULDN'T I BE ABLE TO SHOW MY PRIDE?

Exactly right. It's hard to be yourself when everyone around you is constantly judging. Wishing you the courage to be yourself, while I aim to do the same despite what people think.

yes you should defitnely be you,and that's all you should ever be love preshus

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
